The Reverend John Flynn, founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), has been brought back to life to tell the story of the foundation of the world famous aeromedical service. A range of model airplanes used by RFDS will take you through the different aircraft used through the decades. There is a large display of historic medical equipment that would have been used on the RFDS flights of the past. You can discover what it's like to be inside one of the aircraft and look inside a replica fuselage of a Pilatus PC12. It will satisfy the most curious of mind. Today we make our way to The Royal Flying Doctors. We have time for a wander and take a self-guided walk through The Field of Light before returning back to the motel to find a bit to eat (own cost). The global phenomenon by internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro, has become ‘home’ to the place that inspired it. We take time out for lunch at Yulara and have some time to relax before we visit The Field of Light art installation.
